101. "Poesii" by Mihai Eminescu, first edition, Bucharest, 1884, with original editorial cover, extremely rare bibliophilic piece

On December 21, 1883, the volume "Poems" by Mihai Eminescu was published by Socec publishing house, under the editorship of Titu Maiorescu. This volume is the first and only volume of Eminescu's poetry printed during the poet's lifetime. The volume contains a selection of Eminescu's poems made by Titu Maiorescu, a selection that includes 61 ancestors poems, of which 26 are in first appearance. Format in 4°, with VI pages and another 306 pages. The volume presents a preface signed by Titu Maiorescu and 61 poems, some with variants published in the magazine "Convorbiri Literare". As graphic elements, at the beginning of the book we find the portrait of the poet (the photograph in which he appears with a moustache), his signature, frontispiece and final vignettes, richly decorated with floral elements, mascheron, putti, This copy preserves the original binding of the Socec publishing house in Bucharest in the green version. The copy is very well preserved.
