Earvin "Magic" Johnson Jr. spent his entire sports career with the LA Lakers team. Netflix offers a screen adaptation of his rise to stardom, and that of the team, in the series "Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dinasty," bringing sporting ambitions and emotions to the forefront. After a first attempt to retire from sports life in 1991, he participated in the 1992 NBA All Star Game. His record includes, among other things, five NBA Most Valuable Player awards, three NBA finals MVPs, twelve selections in the All Stars games, inclusion in the top 50 best basketball players of all time in 1996, and winning the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 ("The Dream Team").
