From the interiors with large windows wide open to the sunny landscapes, to the surprise of the buildings in the background, wrapped in the green of the grass and the shade of the trees, Dimitrie Berea will dedicate a comprehensive study to the natural environment. In his creation, the monumental architectural buildings, marked by elegant white and sumptuous stairs, will follow in an engaging rhythm with leafy trees or blooming gardens. Borrowing from the characteristics of Impressionism and Fauvism, the artist will carry out a series of chromatic experiments in which he will highlight light and color. The lively drawing, balanced and harmonized with the color palette and short, hastily overlapped strokes, reveal the artist as a veritable colorist. Dimitrie Berea will embrace the process of plein-air painting ab initio, so that taking advantage of his voluble nature he will work directly in front of the subject - in Paris, London or America and will take advantage of these moments of creation to interact with the curious public. In the cycle dedicated to landscapes from southern France, the artist pays homage to his masters: Renoir, Bonnard, or Matisse. Among his preferences is the famous region in southeastern France, which attracts viewers with its beautiful landscapes – Provence. Famous for its vineyards and lavender fields, its rivers, valleys, and small towns full of history, the region has served as a reference for many artists over time. Dimitrie Berea sets a grand villa as a landmark, surrounded by overflowing nature. The artist captures sunny days, clear skies, and the rays reflecting in the trees or on the rooftops. Sometimes, he heads to the blue shores and discovers the sails moored in the harbor, or the ships that detach from the shore and make their way to the sea. Other times, he paints the interiors of fabulous manors and reveals pieces of sophisticated furniture, in unique colors. Regardless of the chosen subject, however, Dimitrie Berea's works remain imprinted as veritable pages of memoirs from the artist's daily journal, in love with nature.
