We open the summer season of masterpieces with an anniversary auction that marks and celebrates 600 auctions by the House. From the top-selling classic and contemporary Romanian artists, from historical and well-known collections, we find works with an impressive exhibition history, but also a selection of diverse works in terms of theme and technique, from oils and graphics to sculpture, all signed by the most traded Romanian artists. A Summer Auction cannot be complete without the beloved Balcic, a source of inspiration and creation for artists such as Samuel Mützner, Nicolae Tonitza or Francisc Șirato. The auction selection includes sunny and serene landscapes signed by Kimon Loghi, Leon Biju or Adam Bălțatu, but also seascapes by Jean Alexandru Steriadi. Among the themes, we will find the specific indoor atmosphere of Ipolit Strâmbu and the contemplation in the works of Camil Ressu and Theodor Pallady. Not missing are the charming peasant girls by Nicolae Vermont, the incomparable Nicolae Grigorescu, as well as the works of the academic artists Alexandru Bănulescu and Theodor Aman.
