The German cartographer Gabriel Bodenehr (1664-1758) published in Augsburg in 1704 the first edition of his "Atlas", which was reprinted in several editions. He is part of an illustrious family of engravers and cartographers, active over three generations. Hand-colored copper engraving after printing.
