The military column was led by Crown Prince Ferdinand and Colonel Constantin Boerescu. The military parade was on the occasion of Romania's National Day, May 10, in front of King Carol I who is visible on the left side of the photograph. The sovereign was placed in front of the statue of Michael the Brave, across the street from the University Palace in Bucharest. The photograph is affixed to an original period cardboard.
