Men's gold Graham Tourbillograph Automatic wristwatch, reference 2TTAR.B03A, automatic movement, glazed back. Black dial with two registers, partially glazed at 4 o'clock. Original rubber band with gold closure. Graham, the latest generation watch company from La Chaux-de-Fonds, earned an enviable reputation through the sale of chronograph watches. The brand differentiated its products from competing models by equipping most of its chronographs with an ingenious trigger, which is on the left side of the case. With an intuitive bend of the thumb, the chronograph can be operated or stopped. In the Tourbillon movement (French for ”vortex”), the regulator rotates once a minute to counteract any negative influence of gravity on the movement. The regulator itself shows the minutes, the Tourbillon's rotation showing the seconds. The tourbillion complication, invented at the end of the 19th century by the Swiss-born Swiss watchmaker, Abraham Louis Breguet, after more than two hundred years still remains one of the most sought-after complications in watchmaking, as it is the most difficult to build and assemble even in our technology era.
