Simona Halep is the most awarded tennis player in the history of Romania, winning two Grand Slam titles: Roland Garros (2018) and Wimbledon (2019). Originally from Constanța, Simona Halep stated that, throughout her childhood, she idolized Justine Henin and Andrei Pavel, proving that performance sport, through athletes, can exert an overwhelming influence on children, positively influencing them, motivating and ambitious them to practice the sport to the highest level.
