The plaque, made by the illustrious engravers Mauriciu Carniol son and Theodor Radivon, shows on the obverse, in the central part, the two cannons crossed and surrounded by oak and laurel leaves, the symbol of the Romanian artillery, and the phrase "His Majesty the King / Carol I / Officers of Artillery / 1877 - 15 May 1902" and signed by the artists, while the reverse includes a representation of artillery positions during the Independence War, the place where, almost hit by an enemy cannonball, the king has a famous reaction, with the exclamation "This is the music I like!".
