Format 4°, 64+832 pages, a page for an erratum and a plan of Constantinople. In the title, a vignette drawn by C.A. Wagner and engraved by G.D. Henman. In the first 4 pages, one can find the translator’s letter of dedication, addressed to Maria Theresa, having an engraving of the same artists and representing the Apotheosis of the Empress. After this, we have the preface of the German translator, the preface of the author, the comparison of the years of Hegira with those of the Christian era, and a table describing the value of Turkish coins compared to Saxon ones. At the beginning and at the end of the two parts of the book, there is a vignette signed by Mart. Tyroff. There are also some beautifully engraved initials, as well as the portraits of the sultans, in the right side of each chapter that describes each sultan. At the end, one can see: "tabla de materi", a record of foreign words, an alphabetical index of teaching lines and the life of Dimitrie Cantemir. This edition is embellished with a portrait of Cantemir, engraved by C. Fritzch in 1745, with the following inscription: "Demetrie Kantemir, des h. russis. Reichs und in Moldau Fürst, bey dem russ. Kaiser Peter dem Grossen des hohen Senats Mitglied und geheimer Hath." Below, between the words mentioned above, we can see the coat of arms of the Cantemir family.
