The two splendid volumes of the edition, printed in excellent graphic conditions on coated paper, contain 207 illustrations, of which 26 colour plates (volume one) and 109 illustrations, of which 4 colour plates (volume two). The covers are made of cardboard with leather spine. The introductory texts are written by Nicolae Iorga, the curator of the edition.
