Identification elements of iconographic and stylistic order: The icon was part of an iconostasis. Saint Archdeacon Aitala is represented in the same attitude as the Apostles. He is depicted standing, oriented to the left, against the golden ochre background of the icon, at the top, and green at the bottom. Around his head is a halo. He wears a pink tunic and a green cloak. With his left hand, veiled, he holds a box, and with the right he censes. The features of the face and the model are similar to those of the Apostles with whom he forms a series: Apostle Thomas, Apostle Bartholomew, Apostle John the Theologian, Apostle Mark. Technical order identification elements: The wooden support of the icon has a wide, crosswise frame on the face, and on the back is reinforced with two lateral crossbars. Conclusions: The icon belonged to a Russian iconostasis that was painted in the style of Russian painting from the first half of the 17th century (AD).
